Trail Lake is a smaller roadside lodge serving travelers, and a few 'locals', along the scenic Seward Highway. We value a team spirit, and a passion for giving our guests an experience as memorable and spectacular as our scenery. We look for people who appreciate being close to their natural surroundings, the unique experience of living in a small Alaskan town, and are comfortable in group living situations.

The restaurant serves a pub-style menu with burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a variety of Alaskan favorites. Duties involve all aspects of the kitchen from cooking on the line, to food prep and some cleaning duties. Can be fast paced and requires a strong ability to work as a team.

Some baking experience desired, but not required.

Starting dates begin in the second half of May and go through Labor Day. Most positions are completed before mid-September.

  • Staff dormitory housing is available on-site, with a communal kitchen, bath, and laundry areas. (2 employees per room) Housing charge is $9/day.
  • Shift meals included. Discounts on food, merchandise, and local tour operators are available.
  • End of season bonus.
  • Multiple outdoor recreation opportunities in nearby areas from the Kenai River to the Kenai Fjords National Park.
  • A shared company van is available for staff use, but driving your own vehicle is highly recommended if feasible. Both for the wonderful experience of the drive and the flexibility is gives for exploring the area while here. Moose Pass is not off-the-grid for Alaska, but it is isolated by most standards.
  • If arriving by air, transportation to and from the Anchorage airport and Trail Lake Lodge will be provided.
