Well rounded. Whole hearted.

Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert have a 113-year plus history of creating fun and adventure in Minnesota’s lake country. Our skill development based, brother-sister camps are located across the lake from each other. Each with their own separate culture, facilities and activities, but under the same ownership and long-standing mission and purpose.

Located on over 800 acres of Pine and Birch forest on spring-fed Lake Hubert. Our Camps are located in the Great Northwoods of Minnesota, about 2 ½ hours north of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

About Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert

Catering to a diverse group of campers and staff, we are committed to excellence in camping and building up our staff and campers with opportunities for personal growth. Alumni from all across the USA and around the world talk with pride about their wonderful memories and the great summers at Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert.

Who are we? Brother and sister camps dating back to 1909, two of the oldest, best and most respected camps in the Midwest as we enter our 113th summer.

Why do we do it? It's simple... for the kids. Our mission is to provide life-changing summers by helping kids grow mentally, physically, spiritually and socially.

Who Are The Campers? Our campers and staff come from virtually every state and from around the world, providing a diverse community that’s perfect for developing lifelong friendships.

What is a “Traditional Camp”  We focus on each camper as a whole, developing character and physical skills through a wide variety of activities - not just one specialty. Our campers know our creeds, codes and values and live by them.

Each camp employs approximately 110 seasonal staff members looking to make a difference in the life of a child while having an experience like no other... just like you! Each camp offers over 40 different activities giving each camper and staff member a chance to take risks and grow.

The Employee Experience

Our commitment to excellence runs beyond our camper programming. Here at Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert, we are dedicated to the personal and professional growth of our staff.

Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert are premier, residential summer camps in the Midwest.  Our camps offer more than 40 water and land activities and remain two of the oldest summer camps in the U.S.  We have a tradition of hiring top-notch collegiate athletes, coaches, teachers and skilled instructors, passionate about their activities, from across the globe. Our staff always delivers quality care, exciting opportunities, and growth-oriented programming to the campers.

Our camps are “skill-based” we use that term to describe the activity experience. Campers work toward skill development in each of the areas they choose. While you are teaching and leading the campers, working as a positive role model, you are helping them build social skills through community living and group communication.

The opportunity to be a positive influence on children and youth for two months of the year, is life-affirming, challenges you daily, and encourages you to be better, more confident, and lead better every day.

We try to take care of our staff the best we can, with downtime from the campers and staff-only events. Competitive camp salaries, opportunities to travel and explore with free local and regional shuttles. We have staff activities and camp sponsored off-site events for staff.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for people who are mission-driven

Our mission is to enact generational impact. Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert are places that have proven to change entire life outcomes; both within the lives of our campers... but especially within the lives of our counselors.

If you want to have long-lasting, real impact within the campers lives, the lives of the best friends you will surely make here, and within your own life, this would be a suitable environment for you.

All of our staff must have completed at least one year away from high school, or a year of college, prior to the start of the summer. We hire for a variety of positions; Counselors and Activity Specialists, Chefs and Cooks, Office Staff, Grounds staff and Nurses.

Staff generally begin arriving at camp in the second and third weeks of May. The majority of staff will leave during the first week of August, but there is the option to extend until the middle of August and into September as well.

Room and Board

All of our staff live and work at camp during the summer. Counselors and Program staff live in cabins with campers for the traditional summer camp experience. Four staff share a four-room building with 16-22 campers, each cabin has its own bathrooms, and showers are located within a few steps.

Support staff share rooms with 1-3 other support staff. Support staff may be associated with cabins for meals and activity times.

We are proud of our food! Nutritious and delicious, served family-style, we offer a hot entree, with a full salad and sandwich bar at every meal. We pride ourselves on healthy, great-tasting, camper and staff friendly food.

Room, Meals, and travel are included in our salary packages.

Free on-site laundry is also included.

Employee Perks

Our wages are competitive. Base pay for 10 weeks starts at $3,000 for a General Counselor role and increases very quickly based on length of stay and specialty skills. Support Staff starts around $3,400.

Room and meals are provided for the duration of your stay with us. A travel stipend is also paid; the rate is based on your trip to camp.

Opportunities to work up to 16 weeks with additional pay.

Getting Here and Getting Around

We pick up staff from MSP (Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport). Staff is also welcome to drive to camp and keep their cars on-site.

For Fun

Spending a summer (or many) in the Brainerd Lakes Area of Northern Minnesota, (affectionately referred to as the "BLA") removes you from the everyday. Here, " Up North," we pride ourselves in taking the time to be present and outside. On our 800 acres, we are intentional about growth through activities. On-site, campers choose from 40-50 activities every day.

Each summer, staff have the opportunity to ride horses, waterski, climb, sail, dance, explore photography and participate in the various activities camp offers.  Staff-only spaces are provided for breaks and internet access.
