Our program offers a unique adventure for those wishing to escape an indoor world while making a difference in the education of today's youth. As an instructor, you'll be working with a team of facilitators leading our varying school groups through all of the activities we have to offer. No two days are ever the same, one day you may be leading adventure based classes, such as canoeing, archery, ziplining, giant swing. The next day you may be using our educational ambassadors to teach herpetology, ornithology, mammalogy and many more!

Comprehensive training is included in all of our adventure and educational classes. This includes a Level 1 ACCT Ropes course certification, NASP Archery certification, Flatwater canoe rescue certification, comprehensive animal care and handling training for reptiles and birds of prey, and many more. Staff members gain confidence and have unique opportunities to sharpen their skills as facilitators throughout their time here.

Instructors work full time Monday-Friday August through May with paid time off for winter and spring breaks. Some days are long but rewarding, sometimes spanning from 9am-9pm, so flexible applicants are a must. Instructors are never expected to stay with our overnight groups, and are only responsible for students while they are running activities with backup from adult chaperones. When instructors are not teaching, they are building curriculum, maintaining our educational areas, or taking care of our educational ambassador animals.

Perks include:

  • Full Room and Board with a private room and a shared staff kitchen, living area and bathroom.
  • Free Health care after 30 days of employment
  • Access to camp facilities during off time
  • An office of 1,100 acres of woods and water
  • Working with a wide array of animals
  • Working with other passionate, like minded instructors
  • Extra pay for any weekend work completed at $25/hour

Qualified Applicants Must:

  • Have a bachelor degree OR relevant experience working with youth in an outdoor setting
  • Enjoy working outside in all weather conditions
  • Be flexible and able to endure long days while standing for long periods of time
  • We do not require any facilitator to climb on our ropes course, but a basic comfort level around heights is preferred
  • Have a passion to work with children
  • Posses an open mind and willingness to have fun!
