As the Audio Visual Counselor at AstroCamp, your primary responsibility is to support counseling and program staff by fulfilling audio, visual, and property requirements for all summer camp events. You'll be instrumental in producing high-quality camp experiences, from managing lights, sound, and props to crafting event setups and executing digital projects. Your role involves hands-on work with theatrical equipment, computer systems, and power tools, alongside coordinating event logistics and collaborating with various staff members. Additionally, you'll contribute to event production, including prop development and hosting duties, while ensuring the maintenance of all AV equipment. Balancing technical expertise with interpersonal skills, you'll engage with campers, participate in training activities, and assist with daily camp operations as part of the counseling team. Flexibility and initiative are key as you strive to enhance camper experiences and support the overall success of AstroCamp.
Summer 2024 Logistics:
Dates - June 4th (Start of Staff Training) - August 12 (end of season)
Location - AstroCamp is located in Idyllwild, CA.
Salary - $515.00/week (housing and food included for the full season) + Travel Stipend (amount dependent on current location).
